Halibut Fishing '06
Johnson came up to visit and we went fishing out of Whittier, AK. It was more expensive to leave from Whittier, but I thought that we might have a better opportunity to see wildlife in Prince William Sound. We lucked out and saw everything we hoped for...and not more than 50 yards from the boat.

Halibut fishing involves dropping a lure to the bottom, approximately 300-400ft, and waiting for a bite. Then you have a 15 minute job of pulling a dead weight from the bottom of the ocean. Even if there isn't anything on the lure...it is quite a job to reel in that much line.
